The Blue Notes invite anyone interested in joining to stop in at Sunday night rehearsals held 6:30-8:30p.m. at St. Joseph's Church Hall, Prairie Ave., Ishpeming, or contact one of the corps' officers. Current members range in age from 14-60. Blue Notes members must follow The Membership Guidelines

| BLUE NOTES' CO-FOUNDER PASSES AWAYJim Medlyn, co-founder of our drum & bugle corps, passed away on Tuesday, April 22nd. The Blue Notes' alumni who were there on Halloween night in 1957, and through the early years, know what Jim gave to the Blue Notes. He gave support and encouragement to a group of talented kids, and along with Joe Mayrand (who passed away in March of 2007), shaped them into a championship drum and bugle corps. We had the privilege of honoring Jim during our 50th Anniversay celebration last summer. We pay tribute to his memory now and thank him for all he gave to this organization. Our sincere condolences to his wife, Marian, and their children (who were all members of the Blue Notes), and to all of Jim's family. read more ...
